Common questions
Can I view the cameras on my phone?
Yes. We set the app up with you on site and show you how recording and playback work.
Do you hide the cabling?
Wherever the building allows. Concealed runs through walls and ceilings are our default.
Can you work with my existing system?
Often, yes. Send us the make and model and we will tell you before booking.
Do you do data points and network cabling too?
Yes. Cameras, data points, Wi-Fi access points and the rack or cabinet they terminate into are all the same job to us. Running proper cable to the spots that matter beats adding another mesh box to paper over a weak signal, and it is a lot tidier.
Will the cameras still record if the internet drops?
With a local recorder, yes. Footage is written to a drive on site, and the internet only matters for watching it remotely. Cloud only systems stop recording the moment the connection does, which is worth knowing before you choose one. We will explain the trade off rather than just installing whatever is on special.
Where should the cameras actually go?
Fewer cameras in the right places beat more cameras pointed at nothing useful. Entry points, the approach to the house and anywhere out of sight from the street do the real work. We walk the property with you first, because the coverage plan matters more than the hardware and it costs nothing to get right at the start.
